Privacy Policy

ContainerMath is a 3D container loading and cargo packing tool operated by 100 MPH Private Limited, trading as Backrock Studios ("ContainerMath", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use ContainerMath at containermath.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the service.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in, our authentication provider records your email address, name, and a unique account identifier. We use this to create your account, sign you in, and associate your work with you. We never see or store your password.

Content you create

ContainerMath stores the data you enter to produce load plans, including:

• Saved load plans and packing manifests;
• Cargo and item dimensions, weights, and quantities;
• Custom box-library entries, item presets, and quick-fill templates;
• Vessel and container configurations you create or edit.

We process this content solely to provide the calculation, visualization, and export features of the product.

Export document details

If you use Export Documents (a paid feature), we store the shipment information you enter so you can regenerate and reuse your trade documents. This can include:

• Your exporter details and registration identifiers — such as company name and address, GSTIN, Importer-Exporter Code (IEC), PAN, and AD code;
• Bank and remittance details you add to your documents (for example account name and number, IFSC, and SWIFT);
• Buyer and consignee details you enter, including their business and contact information;
• Shipment terms and line items (descriptions, HS codes, quantities, weights, and values), and any logo or branding you upload.

Saved shipments and your reusable company profile are stored on our servers and scoped to your account or organization; unsaved drafts are kept locally in your browser as you work. Because these documents may contain information about third parties (such as your buyer or consignee), you are responsible for ensuring you are permitted to provide that information to us for this purpose.

Billing information

Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. Card and payment details are entered directly with Dodo — we do not collect or store your full card number. We receive and retain a record of your plan, subscription status, and the identifiers needed to manage billing.

AI assistant inputs

When you use AI-assisted features — including the Stowy copilot and AI smart import for manifests and export packing lists — the cargo details, packing-list text or files, and prompts you submit are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. We track your AI token usage for usage limits and billing. Do not submit information through the AI features that you do not want shared with that provider.

Support requests

When you write to us through our support form, we keep your name, email address, and the contents of your message so we can reply and track the issue, together with the IP address and browser the form was submitted from (which we use to filter automated submissions). Your message is delivered to the internal channel our team works from — see "Communication and alerting tools" below.

Usage and technical data

Like most web applications, we automatically record limited technical data — such as your approximate request origin, browser type, and basic event logs — to keep the service secure, diagnose errors, and understand feature usage.

Analytics

We use three analytics tools to understand how the product is used and to improve it:

• Google Analytics — aggregate usage and traffic measurement;
• Microsoft Clarity — session statistics and heatmaps, which can include recordings of how pages are interacted with, to help us spot usability problems; and
• PostHog — product analytics: which features get used and how the sign-up and subscription flows perform. Once you sign in, we associate these events with your account identifier so a journey can be followed across sessions and devices.

Microsoft Clarity and PostHog do not load in your browser until you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner — until then your browser makes no request to them and no cookie is set.

PostHog has one exception worth naming plainly. Two things are recorded from our servers rather than from your browser: completing a signup and a subscription becoming active. Both are records of something that happened on our side — an account was created, a payment we have to reconcile went through — so they are sent however you set the banner. They carry your account identifier, the sign-in method, the plan, and the campaign or referrer the first visit arrived from. They do not carry your browsing, and no further server-side events are sent.

Google Analytics works differently, and we want to be precise about it. The Google tag loads on every page, but it starts in a denied consent state: it does not set Google Analytics or Google Ads cookies and does not build a persistent identifier for you. It does still contact Google, so Google receives your IP address and basic request information even before you choose. If you accept analytics cookies, it switches to the granted state and begins full measurement. You can change your choice at any time (see below).

We send Google one event from our servers as well — that a signup completed — because the in-browser tag cannot observe a signup that finishes through Google sign-in. It is sent only if you accepted analytics cookies. If you declined, nothing about your signup reaches Google: we do not substitute an identifier of our own, and the conversion simply goes uncounted.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to maintain your session and preferences — these are always on. Our consent banner also offers two optional categories, both off unless you turn them on:

• Performance & Analytics — the analytics tools described above.
• Marketing & Personalization — we run a Google Ads tag on the site. If you accept this category, Google may set advertising cookies and use them to measure ad performance and to personalize advertising. If you decline it, the tag stays in the denied consent state and does not set advertising cookies.

When you first visit, the banner lets you accept or decline the optional categories, and you can reopen it to update your preferences whenever you like.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve ContainerMath's features;
• To authenticate you and keep your account and data secure;
• To process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and handle billing;
• To respond to your support requests;
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues;
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate ContainerMath, and only to the extent needed to perform their function. The categories below cover every provider we use; we name the individual provider where it is one you interact with directly or one that sets a cookie in your browser, and identify the rest by function so we can change supplier without leaving this page out of date.

• Authentication — to sign you in and manage your account;
• Database and hosting — to store your account and content;
• Dodo Payments — to process subscription payments;
• AI provider — to power AI-assisted features when you use them;
• Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog) — to measure usage, as described under "Analytics" above;
• Google Ads — to measure advertising performance, if you accept marketing cookies;
• Email delivery — to send the transactional email the service depends on: account and billing notices, replies to your support requests, and the copy of your data you can request from Account Settings;
• Bot protection — to check that our public forms are submitted by a person rather than a script, which involves sharing your IP address and basic request information;
• Communication and alerting tools — the internal channel our small team works from. Support requests are delivered there so someone can pick them up, along with operational and security alerts. Routine sign-in activity is recorded there too, identified only by your account identifier and plan — not by your name, email address, or IP address.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ContainerMath and its users.

AI assistants and API tools (MCP)

ContainerMath exposes a free volume calculator that AI assistants (such as ChatGPT or Claude) can call on your behalf over the Model Context Protocol. These anonymous calculations are processed in memory and are not linked to any account: we do not store the cargo details submitted, and we retain only anonymous, aggregate call counts (for example, how many calculations were run). No cookies are involved because no browser is — the referral links these tools return carry only non-identifying campaign parameters. Authenticated API and MCP usage is governed by the account terms above.

5. Data retention and account deactivation

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, ContainerMath deactivates it: you are signed out and blocked from access, but your data is retained for audit and integrity purposes. Signing in again with the same email self-restores the account. If you want your data permanently erased, reach us through our support form and we will action your request subject to any legal retention obligations. Separately, accounts that we suspend or terminate for violation of our Terms of Service or misuse of the service may be removed together with their associated data, as described in those Terms.

6. Data security

Connections to ContainerMath are encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and your account, saved load plans, cargo data, and presets are stored on managed infrastructure with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your data directly in the app, and you can request a copy of your account and saved data as a JSON file from Account Settings → Request a copy of your data; for your security we email it to your account address rather than downloading it directly, and it can take a few minutes to arrive. You can exercise other rights, including erasure, through our support form.

8. International users

ContainerMath is operated from, and our providers may process data in, jurisdictions that may differ from your own. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

9. Children

ContainerMath is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product.
